Mick is Revesby’s longest-serving employee. He knows Edcon inside and out – and he’s a jack of all trades.

“I’ve worked as the Assistant Manager, I’ve done counter sales, cleaning, cutting, paperwork, invoicing, filing… and more.”

Growing with the business

“I’ve been working in steel since 1997. There was an amalgamation of a couple of businesses to create the store that was here previously,” Mick explains.

“Edcon eventually bought it out when it decided to shut up shop and I helped get the new store up and running. I was hands-on from day one. In the old days we’d take the orders, cut the metal, pack it up and do the delivery.”

A jack of all trades

With six trades under his belt, including fitting and turning, welding, machining, instrument fitting and electronics, Mick could have easily worked somewhere else.
